Guide
How often should you clean your gutters in Ireland?
How often Irish homes need gutter cleaning, the warning signs of a blocked gutter, and the best time of year to book.

Once a year for most homes
For most houses in Dublin and the surrounding counties, a clean once a year is enough. Late October to December, after the leaves have fallen, is the best time.
Homes near mature trees, or with moss-heavy roofs, often need a second clean in spring.
Warning signs
Water spilling over the front edge during rain.
Green streaks or damp patches on walls under the gutter.
Plants or grass growing out of the gutter line.
Gurgling or no water coming out of a downpipe.
Why it matters
Irish weather means a lot of rain. A blocked gutter sends that water down your walls, which can cause damp inside and damage to render and fascias over time.
