About us
These terms apply to services provided by Dublin Handymen. Contact: sales@dublinhandymen.com, +353 89 987 2369. Hours: Monday–Saturday, 7:00–16:00. We work at the customer's property.
Bookings
Bookings are made only through our online booking calendar. A booking is confirmed when you receive the calendar confirmation.
Prices
Prices on the website are indicative ranges including VAT where applicable. The final price and scope are agreed with you on site before work begins. Materials are charged separately unless agreed otherwise.
Payment
Payment is due on completion of the work unless agreed otherwise in advance.
Cancelling or rescheduling
Please give at least 24 hours' notice to cancel or move a booking. We may reschedule for bad weather, safety reasons or circumstances beyond our control, and will tell you as early as possible.
Your right to cancel (cooling-off period)
Under the EU Consumer Rights Directive and the Consumer Rights Act 2022, where a contract is made at a distance or off-premises you may cancel within 14 days without giving a reason. If you ask us to start work within that period, you will pay for work already carried out, and you lose the right to cancel once the service is fully performed. To cancel, contact us by email or phone.
Your responsibilities
- Give us safe access to the work area at the agreed time.
- Provide access to water and electricity where needed (e.g. pressure washing).
- Tell us about any hazards, fragile surfaces or hidden pipes and cables.
Work we don't do
We don't carry out regulated electrical, gas or structural work, or work at unsafe heights. We may decline or stop any job we consider unsafe.
Quality and liability
We carry out all work with reasonable care and skill. If you're not happy, tell us within 7 days and we'll put it right where the issue is ours. Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights or our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence. We are not liable for pre-existing defects or for indirect loss.
Complaints and disputes
Please contact us first and we'll try to resolve any issue quickly. You may also contact the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (ccpc.ie) or use the European Consumer Centre Ireland (eccireland.ie).
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland, and the Irish courts have jurisdiction. If you live elsewhere in the EU you keep the protection of your local consumer laws.
